It will be held for the fifth time from the 5th to 8th of December 2019 at Heritage Le Château Golf Course. Royal Raid Trail
Professional trail runners, one of the most intense trails awaits you with three major race categories: 70 km, 37 km and 15 km. Launched in 2006, the Royal Raid Trail is the first trail run in the history of Mauritius. During its 14th edition this year in May, trail enthusiasts had the opportunity to discover the best of Bel Ombre as well as the endemic fauna and flora of the Heritage Nature Reserve.
Heritage Trail
If you want to stroll through Bel Ombre’s most sumptuous landscape while enjoying fresh air with your family and friends, then you should definitely not miss the Heritage Trail. Held every year in August, this trail is one of the most important races. This year, the 3rd edition of this exclusive trail took place on the 11th of August with over 825 local and international participants. All enjoyed a breezy run through the breath-taking sceneries of Baie du Cap, Chamarel and Heritage Bel Ombre. The event featured four race categories: 55 km, 21 km, 10 km and the 3-km Kids Fun Jog.
For adrenaline seekers
Several multi-sport events are also organised in Bel Ombre for people looking to take on more extreme challenges and boost their adrenaline. You can go on a spree with friends and families to events like the Indian Ocean Triathlon and the Mauritius Adventure Raid Trophy.
Indian Ocean Triathlon
Frequently described as “one of the most magnificent triathlons in the world”, the Indian Ocean triathlon is a must-experience for all sports lovers. The 11th edition of this sensational annual multi-sport race took place on 16th of November.
Mauritius Adventure Raid Trophy
Another invigorating multi-sports adventure awaits you in November and December in the phenomenal wildlife of Bel Ombre as well as in the beautiful Domaine de Chazal. Enjoy the 3rd edition of Mauritius Adventure Raid Trophy in teams of three from 30th of November to 1st of December. From trail running to trekking through the river and everything in between, this adventure features the widest range of activities: biking, zip line, archery, stand up paddle and even an obstacle race. It’s a truly unforgettable experience!

GKA Kite-Surf World Cup Mauritius 2019
